The Discoverer Scholarship Program

 

This is one of the more well-known scholarships for high school juniors in the nation. In or to qualify for it –

 

  • your GPA must be a 2.75 or higher
  • you must have faced and overcome a roadblock or challenge

 

What is meant by roadblock or challenge is somewhat ambiguous and will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

 

This program awards up to 10 scholarships of $25,000 to high school juniors who are in search of financial aid for higher education. Applications are due by January 31 of each year. Elks Most Viable Student Awards

  • you can not be related to a member of Elks.

 

First-place winners are awarded $60,000. Second through seventh place winners are awarded grants each supplying less money than the one above it. Those who come in after seventh place are considered runners-up receive $4000 each.
